Nashville-based violinist Alicia Enstrom emerges as a vocalist and songwriter in her newest album of chamber, indie-pop produced by Jon Estes and titled The Monster Speaks.
Alicia is privileged to be a member of the Nashville String Machine and the Nashville Recording Orchestra for commercial recordings for video games and films such as Star Wars Battlefront, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Dragon Age, Call Of Duty, and The Last Witch Hunter. Alicia has also recorded with such artists as Garth Brooks, Alison Kraus, Lionel Ritchie, and Adrian Belew.
She plays with the Nashville Symphony, performs with the Nashville Opera, performs with the Intersection Contemporary Ensemble, and has performed numerous years for the CMA Awards as well as CMA Country Christmas with artists such as: Taylor Swift, Darius Rucker, Jewel, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Jason Aldean, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Amy Grant, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Idina Menzel, Jennifer Nettles, and Leann Rimes. She also toured this past holiday season playing violin/fiddle with Peter Mayer, long time guitarist for Jimmy Buffet.
She spent time as the solo violinist for Cirque du Soleil’s show Quidam, was the featured violinist for Cirque’s holiday show Wintuk, and was the lead violinist/fiddler, vocalist, pianist and dancer with the international violin show, Barrage. She was invited to the Tanglewood Music Center as a concertmaster under NY Metropolitan Opera conductor, James Levine, and was also concertmaster and soloist in Stravinsky’s Pulcinella at Brevard Music Center under Keith Lockhart, conductor of the Boston Pops. She was also chosen as stand partner to William Preucil, Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra.
Alicia is also creator of an act in which she plays the violin while simultaneously performing aerial circus skills. Alicia is originally from Kansas, but graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University.
